Suitable for runners with or without yoga experience.

Why should runners do yoga?

There are so many reasons… to lengthen tight muscles but also to strengthen the core, feet and ankles. This will improve running posture; helping you to breathe better and even get your mind right, which we all know if half the battle sometimes.

Running is a repetitive exercise and so can aggravate and over tax certain muscle groups. Yoga can help strengthen and lengthen these muscles, speeding up recovery time and restoring your natural range of motion. Yoga can essentially make you a stronger runner.

This special class is designed with the runner’s body in mind. The focus is on stretching the areas that are typically tight, including the hamstrings, IT band and hips; strengthening the weak areas, like the core and upper body; and restoring some of the typically sore areas like the lower back.
