Glow Festival is thrilled to be partnering with Pure Yoga to offer 6 different yoga zones: Specialised yoga, Grounding and Strengthening, Dynamic flow, Healing and Meditation, Masterclasses and Family yoga.

Each zone will have a different goal in mind, and several different classes to choose from but they will all give you an inner Glow that will stay with you for the whole day and night.

Heal and nurture your body. Whether you are looking to restore an injury or activate the parasympathetic system, classes in the Healing & Meditation zone will leave you feeling calm and peaceful.

The first class in this zone is Yoga Therapy for neck & shoulder. A healing practice focused on rehabilitating the body. Special attention to alignment and detailed instructions are combined with specific asanas with the purpose of bringing the body back to health. This class, as you might expect, focuses on the neck and shoulder.

The second class in the Healing and Meditation zone is Yin Yoga. A healing practice focused on realigning and stretching the connective tissues of the body. Students will experience long held deep stretches with the purpose of connecting with the rhythm of the breath and cultivating a meditative mind.

Next up N Pranayama Meditation. Pranayama is the practice of breath control. This meditation class introduces students to yogic breathing and concentration exercises that lead to a meditative state. Regular practice purifies the body and calms the mind, eventually leading to experiences of deep relaxation, peace and vitality.

Following that is Yoga Therapy for lower back, a problem area for many people. A healing practice focused on rehabilitating the body. Special attention to alignment and detailed instructions are combined with specific asanas with the purpose of bringing the body back to health.

Next is Yin Yoga with singing bowls. An experience not to be missed. This is a very healing practice focused on realigning and stretching the connective tissues of the body. Students will experience long held deep stretches with the purpose of connecting with the rhythm of the breath and cultivating a meditative mind. The addition of singing bowls creates a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of diseased and out-of-harmony parts of the body, mind and soul.

Then we have Nada Yoga. Nada means flow of sound. During this class, students will concentrate on sound vibration generated by chanting, singing, mantra repetition or external sound such as singing bowls, tingsha or sacred musical instruments. The sound vibration balances and optimises the brain frequency and helps release negative emotions, reduce stress and relax the body. Some preparatory asanas may be included.

And finally there will be Yoga Nidra. Also known as yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious deep sleep that brings about relaxation, clarity and tranquillity. During this class, students are guided through specific instructions to focus on different body parts and to relax them, while in a state of conscious sleep. The method is simple yet profound and it revitalises the entire system.

You’ll be left with a feeling of complete revitalisation ready for the festival!
